The Titans lost to the Milwaukee Power 5 – 0 late last night in the opening game of the NA3HL League Showcase in Blaine, MN. It was the second consecutive game that the Titans have been held scoreless.
Milwaukee scored the eventual game winner with 6:13 remaining in the opening period when the Power’s Michael Dalaly scored his ninth goal of the season to make it a 1 – 0 game.
The Power doubled their lead with 1:29 left in the second period on Ben Cremers’ tenth goal of the season to make it 2 – 0 Milwaukee.
After a close first, two periods, the Power broke open the game with three, third period goals. Milwaukee’s Nate Stone scored with 9:40 left in the game to make it 3 – 0. Tommy Cassel gave the Power a 4 – 0 lead when he scored his first goal of the season with 3:14 remaining in the third, and Riley Planey closed out the scoring with 2:12 left in the game to give the Power a 5 – 0 victory.
Colin Freitas stopped 11 of 16 shots in defeat while Milwaukee’s Spencer Northway turned aside all 41 shots for his second shutout on the season. Click here for the box score.
